Song
We don’t know just where we’re going but,
We’ll tell you from whence we came,
A lass at my hip and a glass here to sip,
Why these be our primary aim.
My brother and me we are foreign,
we come from a land gone insane,
So drop ye a coin and our coffer,
And allow us to thee entertain.
See I am a bard and a healer,
My brother’s unmatched with the blade,
Twas he and I together and,
We narry from another sought aid.
(Chorus)
He and I, traveling wide,
we’re the Brothers of Bal Shadi.
My voice was singing his blade was ringing,
If either stopped we both would die.
We traveled west for fame and fortune.
And to learn of rare magics concealed.
A man told us of treasure containing,
More power than kings could wield.
So we went to the site that he spoke of,
Twas far to the west in Amtar,
A fortress surrounded by monsters,
who all sought our entrance to bar.
My voice it strengthened and healed him,
His bladework protected my throat.
We broke down the gate by evening
And fought our way across the moat.
(Chorus)
He and I, traveling wide,
we’re the Brothers of Bal Shadi.
My voice was singing his blade was ringing,
If either stopped we both would die.
Once inside we awakened,
Spirits of darkness and ill,
Outmatched we were and we knew it,
Twas more than we ever could kill.
Retreat was our only option,
My brother was slain as we fled,
I raised him but if I stop singing,
He’d once again join with the dead,
My brother’s wound was a cursed one,
But I held the foul magic at bay,
He fought off all those who assailed us
And together we found our way.
(Chorus)
He and I, traveling wide,
we’re the Brothers of Bal Shadi.
My voice was singing his blade was ringing,
If either stopped we both would die.
And now lords and ladies I tell you,
Our adventuring days they are done,
But we’ll tell thee of all of our toils,
And hope to spread good cheer and fun.
From Lhesper on to Delzimmer,
From the Shaar down to the sea,
We’ll bring our songs and our stories,
And we’ll pass them all on to thee.
We don’t know just where we’re going but,
We’ll tell you from whence we came,
So drop yee a coin and our coffer,
And allow us to thee entertain.
